Mum was looked after so beautifully by the palliative care team and the AMU team at Southmead, but they face challenges which we’d love to help with. There are a shortage of beds for families who want to spend time with their loved ones during their final days and the team want to be able to offer more training to all staff dealing with families facing bereavement. Any money we can raise in mum’s memory will go straight to the palliative care fund and I know she’d be overjoyed to think we could make a difference for others. Those hospital chairs are no laughing matter after several hours of use!
